i'm jaylin...an actor, director, producer, writer, and artist who just loves telling stories in every form i can get my hands on. coaching, for me, isn't separate from the rest of my work. it's an extension of it. i know what it's like to sit in the tension of chasing this career while trying to hold onto yourself in the process. so when i coach, we're not just breaking down scenes or prepping for auditions, though we do plenty of that. we're also talking about what's actually going on with you: the goals, the doubts, the blocks, because i believe the person shows up in the performance whether we plan for it or not. i'm also the founder of theater for the culture at Loyola University New Orleans, a space built to give black storytellers room to gather, create, and be fully seen. that same heart shows up in how i coach: i want you to leave sharper as an artist, but also a little more whole as a person.
